Here we have a little flashback to 2015 – the wedding of Sarah + Tod. These two have been family friends for years and asked Jesse to cook ups a storm for their guests at the stunning Whatipu Lodge. We were absolutely honoured to be invited to cater for their loved ones. Below Sarah + Tod have shared some very kind words with us.
“When we were planning our wedding we knew that we wanted outstanding food to be one of the highlights of the occasion. As our venue was an old hunting lodge, off-grid, with little refrigeration and a very long drive along a dirt road, we also needed someone with the confidence and flair to deliver- no matter the circumstance!
We asked Jesse to provide catering for 50 to 60 guests and knew that we could relax, confident that Jesse would not only deliver but would create a truely memorable menu. “The best food to come out of the Whatipu kitchen ever,” was the comment from the manager. This sentiment echoed by our guests, Jesse’s cooking is still talked about as a highlight of the wedding. We were treated to a beautiful feast, making the most of fresh, local produce with wonderful attention to detail. The smell of warm dough rising as Jesse made ciabatta rolls is a particularly fond memory.”
For the wedding of Sarah + Tod, No Biggie Food served a selection of beautiful canapés and a family style feast, with freshly baked ciabatta rolls. It’s not every day you get photographed by a world renowned photographer. Thank you Mark Chew for the beautiful images.
