When Katie and Scott planned their wedding on their family farm just outside Gisborne, they wanted a day that felt true to them – relaxed, elegant, and full of amazing food. Great people, good vibes, and a menu to remember. That’s where No Biggie came in, to cater their stunning wedding in Gisborne.
With rolling paddocks and a light East Coast breeze in the air, the setting was pure Gisborne magic. Guests were welcomed with flowing drinks and flavour-packed canapés. From ceviche with jalapeño and red onion on crunchy tostadas, to crispy fried chicken with hot honey and kewpie. They had guests circling back for more.
Dinner was served under a stunning Hampton tent styled by Flock Events, complete with beautiful table settings that brought a bit of glam to the rural setting. Long tables encouraged connection and conversation, and as the sun dipped behind the hills, we brought out shared platters full of East Coast flavour. The favourites? Slow-cooked lamb with honey and mint, and charcoal-grilled chicken with chermoula, smoky, spiced, and packed with herbs.
No Biggie-style means no one misses out – and Katie & Scott’s vegan and vegetarian guests were treated to charred courgettes with hummus, chilli oil, and roast almonds.
On the side, guests passed around buttery new potatoes with butter and herby deliciousness, beetroot and feta with crunchy buckwheat, and our signature charcoal-grilled broccoli with tahini and crispy onions. Honest, seasonal food, served with heart – that’s what we’re all about.
