We thought it would be necessary nice to add a bit of balance to our foodie holiday in Italy and since we’re now expert level hikers after our time in the Pyrenees. We would get this balance in the form of hiking. Now, if you’ve ever been to the west coast of Italy, particularly Cinque Terre and The Amalfi Coast you will be aware that hiking may not be the right word to describe what we were partaking in. No no no, it’s more like you’re on a constant stair master. I’m tempted to believe there are more steps in this part of Italy than in Australia and New Zealand combined. This said, they’re all worth it for the gorgeous coastal scenery and the mushroom filled forests. We just wish we were better at deciphering the fungi we could turn into a shroomy filled feast and those that would certainly kill us. Here are some pictures from the hikes we did around Italy, stay tuned for our next blog post about the highlights of our 7 weeks in Italia!
